(Denver, CO)
Hiii everyone, had such a busy weekend. Chloe was my first (of many upcoming visitors) and it was SO fun to have her here <3 Found some great new spots and met lots of new people. The weather is still so sunshiney and warm (literally 87 degrees all week, I hear its been raining on the east coast so sorry to you all).
Anyways, you know how people always say everything is bigger in Texas, well actually coming from NY everything is bigger in denver. I walk into bars or restaurants and they are literally so big, they just keep going and going and going #cultureshock. (first edition of my denver restaurant recs will be coming next week :)
The vibe:

Red rocks, baking, and the hammock.
Doing:
I’m in my home making era.
Shoutout polina for the flower inspo, i always keep flowers around but i am now inspired to try to make some more arrangements, i started small this time but i will be more ambitious next time. So easy to just pick up at trader joe’s when you’re grocery shopping.
Also started knitting again, if anyone has tips for following patterns because all i can do is keep making squares and scarfs.
Wearing:
I got these cow slippers on Amazon for like 20 bucks and every time i look down at my feet i get happy :) The uggs i wanted are out of stock so i'm trying to decide if i should wait or pick a different pair. if anyone has found a good replacement for the mustard
seed tazz slippers PLS LMK. getting ready to transition my closet to fall, sweaters, leather, etc. so stay tuned :)

Watching:
I watched Don’t Worry Darling last night. I hadn’t watched it yet because I thought it was going to be creepy (i don't like scary movies) and it was very creepy. I had bad dreams after lol but I'm glad I watched. I’ve always loved Florence Pugh and Harry styles duh. It reminded me of the Barbie movie, I think just the Palm Springs-esque setting, the way it was filmed, and those weird scenes where all the women are like autopilot robots. Overall though, really good, i recommend if you haven’t watched.
Eating:
I am not a good baker (thanks to my lack of patience and my mom who taught me to cook from the heart, instead of a recipe) but I made a peach pie this week. I’ve been religiously working my way through Mark Bittman’s cookbook (literally i read it like a novel before bed) and I saw this peach pie and it was just calling to me. Usually I'm a mess at baking, and i did have to use a wine bottle as a rolling pin, but I used a food processor for the first time to make the dough and it was actually super easy. I will definitely be doing this more often and it made me so excited for thanksgiving time.

Reading:
Didn’t have much time to read last week but I did finish The Maid (there was in fact a plot twist at the end). I got Cloud Cuckoo Land from the library, which is allegedly very good once you get into it, so that’s what I will be starting tonight.
Listening:
Saw Louis the Child this weekend at Red Rocks which was just so sweet and nostalgic to when I first started to listen to edm. Made me go back to my old, soft, (and less screechy) playlists. Red Rocks is such an amazing venue and I can’t wait to go all the time now that I’m out here, big yay!!
Also just rewatched Anna Delvey’s Call Her Daddy episode where she’s literally facetiming in from prison. Such a trip and worth a watch hahah, long live anna delvey. A fun fact about is that I can do her accent perfectly.
Have a great week everyone <3 love u chickens

I need to hear this Anna accent!
I want cow slippers now!!!!!!!
maybe we’ll replace pecan with peach pie at thanksgiving??? cant wait to talk cloud cuckoo land with you !
LOVED being ur first visitor!! Also ur pie was amazing! Looking forward to more CO memories to come 🫶🏼
