(NYC / LA)
Living my best bicoastal life again. I usually make this flight like once a month but I haven’t been home since May which is soo long for me. I'm so glad to be back in LA. It was so wonderful to see all my college friends (shout out, love you all <3). It's crazy that's already been 6 years since I met most of them, So healing and soul filling to see your people.
The vibe:

Pretty clouds, California, and rave day.
Doing:
My friend Emily read our tarot cards this weekend. I am super into tarot and psychics (but not the tiktok ones, do not fall for those lol). I feel like the readings I get always resonate for me and this one especially did. I got my own set for my birthday last year but I’ve been slow getting around to learning how to do it out of my head without the guide book. What came in my readings this time was a lot of chakra alignment, creativity, wisdom, and spiritual awakening. I have 100% been feeling all of this lately. Stepping into my higher power.

Wearing:
Went to Hard Summer this week and we slayed the fits. Matt went full Y2K vibes with the glasses and the cool pants. I bought this huge pearl necklace from the dollar tree hahah and this mesh aphrodite top i got from an instagram shop. Did ribbons in the hair. And Emily our ultimate rave mom, was jingling all day long with the chains and coins. So fun going to the rave and seeing everyone’s outfits. When we got back, we were talking about how it's such a safe space, especially for girls, to wear whatever they want, which is so different from usual life. PLUR 4 life.

Watching:
I’m a youtube girly. My two favorite things to watch are cooking and architecture videos. Recently been obsessed with these amazing, eco, sustainable, indoor, outdoor living projects. The houses are so stunning, i love big glass windows and gardens.
Some of my favs this week:
The Water Shed in the UK has a natural swimming pool (youtube). A husband and wife team designed it (dream team, he’s an architect and she’s an interior designer).
And the Secret Garden (youtube) is this beautiful home in Venice. Literally an LA oasis, I’m obsessed. Imagine waking up this house everyday. I would literally never be stressed.

Eating:
There’s not a lot of food I don’t like but for some reason, my tastebuds were just never really into Korean food. I think it was a lot of the like pickled stuff ? But Mono Mono (swankiest little spot in NY, East Village) put me on a little bit. I went back for a second time this week (the soju cocktails are sooo good). I had the kimchi fried rice again and it was also very good. I’ve always heard people say your taste buds change over time so I’m thinking I might need to give it all another chance.
Reading:
I’ve been working through a book my mom got me for my birthday about North Korea “Nothing to Envy.” I got a weird obsession with North Korea a couple years ago and went into youtube spirals. This book is so well written, she weaves in the history with real stories so nicely.
Listening:
Hot Girls Talk podcast is my guilty pleasure. I found Halley on tiktok first and then fell in love with all 3 of them. They are the most fun and funny friend group. I religiously listen to this podcast every week. Whenever I have to do something alone I just put this on and I feel like I’m sitting with my 3 best friends.
I also listen to a lot of other more ~~ intellectual podcasts, so I promise next week I’ll have a good recommendation.
Also been listening to a lot of Billy Joel hahaha. “New York State of Mind,” “Vienna,” “Piano man.”
