(NY, New York)
Last week of July! I had so many close friend’s birthdays this month, I’m surrounded by the most amazing cancers and leos (somehow like 90% of my friends are summer bdays). So fun celebrating everyone and thinking about how wonderful my friends and friendships are <3 This month has been so hot in New York compared to what I remember last summer, very rainy and muggy too. But recently I've been feeling like every time it rains I just want to run around in it. Even on the hot days, I’ve been trying to go outside as much as I can this week.
The vibe:

Central park, moving boxes, and Carrie Bradshaw.
Doing:
Spent a lot of time on picnic blankets this week, getting ready to say bye to some of my best friends. Also have a hit list of places I’m trying to go to before I move. Very slowly packing my boxes up and saying goodbye to a place I’ve spent a year and a half in. It’s weird because I spent so much time here thinking about how I want to leave, but now that it’s coming I’m realizing I will definitely miss the little home I’ve built here.
Wearing:
Bought the MOST amazing leather bomber jacket at the Brooklyn flea market. I saw it from afar and made a beeline straight to it. Definitely paid way too much money I didn’t have for it but I needed it so bad. Will be perfect once it starts to get cold in Colorado and I still have to ride my horse.

Watching:
Started watching Sex and the City and I am OBSESSED. Probably a bad thing to be
watching as I’m leaving the city because it so romanticizes living here and having your friends like 5 mins away at all times. I can’t believe I never watched this show before. I tried it a couple years ago and couldn’t get through the first few episodes because I thought it really was all about sex, but it’s actually about 4 of the closest, most supportive group of women I’ve ever seen on TV. After discussing with my friends, I am 100% a Charlotte.
Eating:
Sushi is always in. Had omakase with my friend Jenna on Saturday night but I couldn’t bring myself to eat the eel one. Maybe next time. Also had to stop by my favorite tacos in NYC (the closest thing I’ve found to a real LA taco) – Tacos Nos 1. I get their Nopales quesadilla. It’s amazing.
Espresso martini shots!! The bartender brought us these the other night and they were so yum. I had a big espresso martini era last summer and this is the perfect solution for when a whole night of espresso will not let you fall asleep. I also went to Grand Banks finally for the first time. Adorable old sailboat on the West Side they turned into a restaurant. Perfect for a drink on a sunny day.

Reading:
Recently finished “The Island” by Victoria Hislop which I loved. It's set in Greece, on the island of Spinaloga (old leper colony), and tells the story of 3 women in a family across three generations. I actually really loved it, the story was fascinating and so beautiful. Also recently finished the “Silent Patient” which was very good. Major plot twist at the end and a page turner.

Just moved out of Colorado! Youll love it, cant wait to see what you post from there
