Hellooo i can’t believe its already the end of January, somehow this month was so slow and so fast. But finally we have survived the darkest days of the year and it isnt pitch black by 5pm yay. I had a busy weekend, watched football for 8 hours and i can’t believe my 2 fav teams are both in the super bowl, mega slay.
I’m scheming a bunch of new stuff for this blog so stay tuned, i’m excited about it.
The vibe:

Pink, party hats, and paints.
Doing:
Went ice skating this weekend on the lake. This was fun because i’ve never skated on an actual frozen lake but it was very not fun because lakes have no walls. I don’t remember being so bad but i guess all the other times ive been i just skate off the wall, idk i feel like this is a fun thing to do once a year for the vibes and thats it. It was hard. I was very much struggling but still fun and so pretty.
Wearing:
I got this vintage Valentino sweater a couple weeks ago and i love it, so perfect for dinner with the pretty sparkly mesh in the middle.

Watching:
LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM. I cant believe i never watched this show it is so good and so freaking funny and sweet and wholesome and i literally can’t enough of it. So far season 2 is better bc i <3 connor but if you haven’t watched this yet you absolutely have to, i think it’s one of the best things that has ever been made on tv.
Eating:
Did a surprise birthday party at Benihana. I hadn’t been in years and to be really honest, would not go back again hahah its very big chain vibes but it was perfect for a big group and it was still fun to watch the chef do his thing. I think there are probably other better hibachi places to go to.
Also had a really good second meeting of the dinner club at Izakaya Den. Best most reasonably priced sushi i’ve had here so far in denver would def go back very often.

Reading:
I started reading that bridgerton book and i dont love it. The story is so good and Shonda rimes did such a good job with the show but i feel like the writing just isn’t that good. I’m going to go to the library tomorrow and pick out something new so lmk if anyone has suggestions.
Listening:
You guys Basement Yard is actually the funniest podcast ever. These guys are so hilarious like its just them bro-ing out and being dumb but it makes me laugh out loud. I think they're friends from childhood and i always feel like those are the best, funniest friendships. I highly recommend if you’re in the mood to just giggle, they’re actually hilarious.
Also plug for my sweet angel friend Sydney Cameron, just dropped her best song yet.

Love you lil chickens (srsly send me your book recs) xox
