Heyyyy everybody. We had a super fun superbowl party, i had a great Valentine’s day with lots of chocolates and flowers and treats. Otherwise, mostly the usual; working hard at work, going to the gym, crafting, and painting. Another snow day here that was somehow so warm and sunny the day before and the day after. Won 300$ on a sports bet this weekend, im channeling my lucky girl syndrome.

Doing:

So much fun girl time these last few weeks, such a good girls night for dinner club, then had the sweetest Valentine’s evening at this super cool place in Denver. It’s like DIY crafts and I still have to finish painting mine but then I will show you. And then also had the lovelist, longest girl day and brunch this past weekend. Such special, fun times :)

Wearing:

Honestly little rant, i can’t wait for summer. I’ve definitely gotten better at dressing in winter and to even love the cold a little bit but i mostly dont like it. I feel like everyday its just like okay which pair of jeans and which sweater. I am a child of the sun and i thrive in the heat and so do my outfits.

Watching:

Watched 22 Jump Street (both of these are some of my all time favorite movies ever, i used to watch them like once a week and could probably perform a 1 woman performance of it) just actually so funny.  Everyone also keeps recommending One Day but I’m scared to watch it because it looks so sad but i think im going to make kian watch it with me this week while he’s here.

Eating:

Usually im not good at baking because I don’t have the patience but I made cupcakes AND lemon bars for our superbowl party. Found the cupcake recipe online and used my Mark Bittman cookbook for the lemon bars.

Honestly, these were both way easier than I expected them to be. The cupcakes were just way too sweet for me personally, I think I prefer like a buttercream frosting or something with fruit + definitely need to practice my frosting skills. The lemon bars actually turned out delicious except I baked them too long so the texture was ~~ not right. Would definitely try both again though. 

Reading:

Ugh literally, i love Kristin Hannah, reading Summer Island right now, she just really writes so well. 

Listening:

Such a sweet episode of This American Life about love and Math Vs. Magic and how people think about finding a partner and being in a relationship. I love to hear cute little stories, Valentine’s day put me in such a good mood this year humans are just so cute falling in love all the time.
