(Denver, CO)
Hey everyone <3 sorry for skipping last week i was so busy and exhausted from packing and moving (+ i switched time zones 3 times in 5 days). I’m having the best time in Colorado so far. I have so much more space, it’s so beautiful, and everyone is SO nice. I’ve been settling in, got my car, and started making a long restaurant hit list. I had my first horse lesson :) and finally have my mattress off the floor (i’ll post some pics once everything is fully set up and decorated).
The vibe:

Horses, rainbows, and building furniture to the point of tears.
Doing:
My mom and I went to this insane antique shop, Brass Armadillo. This place is seriously HUGE and probably one of the coolest stores I’ve been to, you could get lost in there for hours. They have the weirdest stuff and also some amazing home decor pieces. I got the cutest little old cigar box to put my essential oils in.

Wearing:
Headbands!! So into headbands the last few weeks. I feel like they’re so cute and easy for when you want to just add a little bit of spice. My fav one rn is my white one. ugh just so cute.
Watching:
I’ve been binging Grey’s Anatomy again. I don’t care what anyone says, this is one of the best shows of all time. The drama, the relevance, the humor, the stories. If you can push past the horrible covid season the one most recent one is so good and hits hard about abortion and healthcare professionals. If you’ve never watched, start from the very beginning and buckle up for a ride.
Eating:
I meant to post this last week, in tribute to NYC but definitely check out my East Village restaurant guide. These are just my fav spots in the neighborhood. I have a huge New York excel sheet that i have to figure out how to condense and share (suggestions for how are so welcome). I also have guides for LA, CDMX, DC, New Orleans, Lisbon, Cape Town, and more on the way.
I have this huge new kitchen here now so get ready for lots of good recipes and cooking.
Reading:
A lot has happened to me the last few months and I’ve been journaling like a freak. Journaling is like working out, everyone says it will change your life and you don’t believe it until you do it. When I moved this week, I went back and read some of the stuff I wrote when I moved to new york and it’s crazy how much things can change and how much you can grow. I decorate mine so they’re fun, I’m already on my second one of the summer…. seriously start journaling.

Listening:
This American Life is the podcast that got me into podcasts years ago. It’s just something so different and interesting every week and you’re like how can they make a whole episode about this but they’re just so good. I love Ira Glass and really liked their episode last week (episode 388: Rest Stop). Also recently did a feature on one of the most insane stories I’ve ever heard and what happened at the Yale Fertility Clinic (episode 804: The Retrievals) The rest of the series is from NYT but seriously recommend listening to this.
Happy tuesday probably by the time you read this, See you next week <3
