Happy new year everyone <3 sorry for skipping last week, i was on big break relaxing, being with family, and rotting away in the one week of the year where time doesn't exist. but WOOHOOOO first blog of the year. it's been so fun sharing little parts of my life with you all these last few months. I’ve been reflecting, setting goals, and doing my in’s and out’s for 2024. I’m keeping those secret but I feel like this is going to be such a good year, everyone around me is so ready to grow and go. I feel so energized, renewed, and refreshed. A LOT happened to me this past year and I’m so excited to see what 2024 has in store for all of us. Let’s get this bread people. blank slate, fresh start, bigger and even better.
The vibe:

Big rocks, sparkles, and resolutions.
Doing:
Already having a great start to my new year, Got to have a lil beach day in LA and spent the week in one of my favorite places on earth (Joshua Tree and Palm springs) with some of my favorite people. I’ve been coming out here at least once a year for a very long time and it just always charges up my soul. Something about the desert, perfect way to end the year. We did lots of rock spelunking and exploring. So many cute shops, def recommend the crochet museum, Mojave Trading post, and pioneertown. Lots of time to read, hot tub, color, sit, talk, and laugh. <3

Wearing:
We did an ugly shirt white elephant one of the days and went out to the bars. This was such a silly thing to do and we all had so much fun picking them out. Def recommend doing on top of your regular secret santa.

Watching:
Finally watched Saltburn. This movie is so wackadoodle insane. I had spoilers going into it but i still had no idea what was going on half the time. Super creepy. Also watched Leave the world behind last week. 100% recommend this too, it’s a bit spooky too but Barack and Michelle (obama) produced it which made it 10x more interesting to me.
Eating:
One of my fav meals I’ve ever had in LA (thanks @bigbitezonly for always making the best res) at Cento Pasta Bar. We tried 4 of their pastas and I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite. Rigatoni is a must but the broccoli pesto was also delish and so was the sweet corn AND the beet pasta. Also the gem salad and sprouted cauliflower so good. And passion fruit tres leche was a 10/10 for me (tres leche is my favorite cake and passion fruit is one of my fav fruits). Honestly, i don't think you could go wrong picking anything off this menu. Plus the space is super cute and vibey, i always love when trees are inside. Love u all my LA people <3

Reading:
UGH so good this book, “The Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah. She also wrote Nightingale another one of my favs and Firefly Lane (i haven’t read the book but i loved the show). Four Winds is about the Dust Bowl which I feel like is a very under talked about period in American history and honestly it’s so interesting.

Listening:
I’m inventing a new edm genre, desert edm. Polina slayed with the playlists this week on our 11 HOUR drive. I also think I'm kinda getting into house.
Happy new year can’t wait to see what’s coming for all of you <3
